Here are two finished drawings I made. As usual, everything is a symbol, so really analyze the pictures if you want to get it.Victorian illustration and eastern european folk art are some things I thought about when drawing these. Also I was listening to bon iver if that helps

I like the symmetry in the first photo, both sides are similar but different. You can tell that both drawings are related to your concentration pieces from last month. They look like they could be in a story book and they are well planned out. In the second photo, I like the frame, but there isn't really a setting/sense of placement of the people and objects inside the frame. I still like all the value and details, but I don't understand where they are and what it is showing?! Good work

ReplyDeleteI really liked the work of one of the artists that posted about for one of the other blog assignments, especially the one he did of the creatures/monster...I feel like you could do something really cool along those lines. It could be a nice way to mix it up a bit. You're stuff is so cohesive, it's amazing, and you're super good at what you're doing. Maybe challenge yourself to use some more color? (Also, have you ever performed any of these rituals?)
